THE INFLUENCE OF MOTIVATION, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING ON TEASURER FERFORMANCE SKPD POLEWALI MANDAR DISTRICT

Abstract


This study aims to empirically test and prove: (1) Does motivation affect treasurer performance; (2) Does education affect treasurer performance; and (3) Does training affect treasurer performance? Theoretically, the results of this study are expected to enrich and complete knowledge in the field of human resource management so that it can be useful for academics and practitioners. This type of research is explanatory research, the population and sample in the study amounted to 45 employees. Determination of the sample using the total sampling technique, this study was analyzed through Linear Regression Analysis with the help of SPSS 23 software. The results of the study show that: (1) Motivation has a negative effect on treasurer performance, indicators of self-actualization needs, security needs, self-esteem needs, physiological needs, and social needs, have not been able to influence the improvement of treasurer performance: (2) Education has an effect on treasurer performance, educational background is a supporting factor in achieving treasurer performance because low education makes it difficult for treasurers to absorb information related to financial management. The suitability of the educational background possessed by the treasurer will be able to improve individual performance, and can have an impact on improving organizational performance; (3) Training has an effect on treasurer performance, training is very much needed by treasurers to improve treasurer skills and work abilities, training is carried out to facilitate treasurers’ learning about treasury matters, for example financial processing training, treasurer reporting, salary transfers and others.
