THE EFFECT OF RELIABILITY, WORK ETHIC AND DISCIPLINE ON THE PERFORMANCE OF EMPLOYEES OF THE REVENUE AND LICENSING SERVICE OF POLEWALI MANDAR REGENCY

Abstract


This study aims to empirically test and prove: (1) Does reliability affect employee job satisfaction; (2) Does work ethic affect employee job satisfaction; and (3) Does discipline affect employee job satisfaction? Theoretically, the results of this study are expected to enrich and complete knowledge in the field of human resource management so that it can be useful for academics and practitioners. This type of research is explanatory research, the population and sample in the study amounted to 57 employees. Determination of the sample using the total sampling technique, this study was analyzed through Linear Regression Analysis with the help of SPSS 23 software. The results of the study indicate that (1) Reliability has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction, employee reliability is very much needed in the context of public service in this agency, employees who are reliable in their work are certainly due to the high level of job satisfaction they have in this agency; (2) Work ethic has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction, every employee in this agency has a spirit called work ethic, this spirit then transforms into an attitude, for example discipline, high work motivation, love so that satisfaction is created with their work. The work ethic of employees that looks good reflects the high job satisfaction of employees; (3) Discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction, employee job satisfaction can be seen from the level of employee discipline in everyday life, if employees arrive on time and apply discipline then it can be said that employees have good job satisfaction. Likewise, employees who are not disciplined reflect the low job satisfaction they have.
